Recording

Now you and your music are in focus!

Small or large musical projects, everyone is welcome! We can offer recording of songs and most types of instruments in the studio. Should a larger room be required for eg acoustic drums or recording of an entire band, we will arrange it. It is important that you are well prepared and you get a checklist from us before the big day so that you are really ready. Get in touch and we can plan a layout that feels good! If you have no experience of recording in the studio, we will guide you step by step.

 Checklist

In order for everything to go as smoothly as possible in the studio, it is good that everyone is prepared. If you have previously recorded a studio, most of the points below are probably familiar, but regardless of whether this is the case, it is good to go through the list to get well prepared so that the experience in the studio is both creative and a great experience.

Come prepared!
Scrape the song so that it fits, make sure that the structure and arrangement are clear so that it does not take away valuable time in the studio.

For vocalists, it is good to drink more water the days before recording, also bring a water bottle to keep the voice for a long recording day with many takes.

Prepare us
Send information to the studio about the material to be recorded and what types of instruments etc you will use so that the session can be prepared and thus minimize the time it takes before recording of the material can be started.

Own material
If you have recorded tracks or loops that you want in the production, make sure that they are high-resolution in lossless format (type wav or aif) and send these over before the session and we will add to the project.

Bring...
Chord analysis / notes and texts.
Tools and spare parts and everything else you may need for your instrument. For example. Tuning key for drums, screwdriver & Allen key for stable or drawbar on guitar & bass, extra strings of the same kind that sit on the instrument, make sure you have extra plectrum, drumsticks, etc. with you.

Make sure the instruments are in top condition!
This means checking intonation as well as fresh strings for string instruments, no play or crackling contacts, etc. If acoustic drums are to be recorded, make sure that they are fresh skins and that they are tuned.

Think of…
Not to put on crackling clothes.
Remove, or tuck in jewelry that rattles & sounds inside clothing.
Turn off sounds and vibrations on your mobile phone.

Respect the time!
In the studio, it's easy for time to fly away, put away mobiles and other things that can be distracting during the day, of course it's fun to take some pictures for memories and to use in their marketing, but make sure it does not interfere with the recording.

Perhaps most important of all - Make sure you have fun!
